Meeting at the table
For people who dread the dentist. A talk, no treatment.
Example prices for a fictional practice. Our dentists are conventioned: we charge the RIZIV/INAMI rates. Cleaning with the hygienist is a fixed practice price. How much you get back depends on the treatment and on your health insurance fund.
The practice
Two treatment rooms on the ground floor, a room for the hygienist and a separate sterilisation room. There is not a single step between the pavement and the chair. The waiting room has water to drink and no television.

If you dread the dentist
Many people put off an appointment for years because something once hurt or nobody listened. We will not hold that against you. You can come and meet us at a table first, with nothing done. During treatment the dentist says what comes next, and she stops as soon as you raise your hand.
- A meeting with no treatment: 20 minutes, at a table.
- A long appointment: an hour instead of half an hour, with an explanation at each step.
Children
Bring your child as soon as the first teeth come through. The first time is mostly about getting to know us: climbing into the chair, switching the lamp on and off, holding a small mirror.
- A parent can always come into the treatment room.
- Wednesday afternoons are kept for children and teenagers (example).
- Up to 18, the health insurance fund pays back most treatments in full at a conventioned dentist. Braces are not included.
Urgent care
What to do depends on when it happens.
